We pre-authenticate a card with a provisional payment of £10 per person, however no money comes out of your bank account. This pre-authentication is in place to confirm your booking with us.
The only time we would claim the authentication, or deposit, from you, is if you failed to show on the day with no contact, or cancel as per our terms and conditions below;
1 - 8 guests 24 hours notice
9 - 15 guests 72 hours notice
15+ guests 14 days notice
Groups of 16 or more guests will need to pre-order, 72 hours prior to their booking. A member of our booking team will be in touch to help you through the process. Please let our bookings team know if you have children in the group.
We have a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available on all of our restaurants seasonal menus. Simply look out for the ‘V’ and ‘VN’ or ‘GF’ lettering at the end of a dish on our menu. CLICK HERE for our allergy information sheets.
Please inform our staff of any allergies or dietary requirements. While we will do our best to accommodate your needs, please note that we handle all 14 major allergens in our kitchen, and cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination. Unfortunately, we are unable to cater to severe allergies. For more detailed allergen information, please speak to a member of staff.
If you are celebrating a birthday or special occasion, please make sure to leave a note when booking!
Yes! If you’re booking for a special occasion, you are welcome to bring a cake, however the cake cannot replace the dessert course on our set menu.
You are also welcome to bring balloons, banners or decorations for the table to make the booking more special, we simply ask that there’s no confetti.
Guests are most welcome to book on board for drinks only, our floating bar stocks the finest selection of wines and spirits, with premium cocktails also on the menu. Guests who book for drinks only may also order from our snack menu.
We are a family friendly barge! Please count all children [including new borns] within the number of guests for your booking, this allows us to provide a table with substantial space. Please note we do not offer a children's menu, however we can do smaller plates. We can not offer street kitchen food from the Barge East Gardens inside the restaurant.
We have plenty of highchairs available should you wish to book with your children, as well as baby changing facilities on board. We ask that you leave a note when booking if you require a highchair or pram space in order for us to allocate you adequate seating arrangements.
We have a variety of outdoor spaces available on board our restaurant, seating 2 - 10 guests. All outdoor spaces are heated and covered, perfect for evening dining no matter the weather. We are by the river, so we recommend bringing a warm jacket or coat if you do book outside. You can find out more here >
Dog’s are welcome in our restaurant on the premise that they are well behaved, on their lead and not on the furniture. We politely ask that they do not disrupt other guests.

Our gardens save 30% of it's tables for walk-ins. There may be a small wait to be seated during peak season for example, public holidays. However, we aim to seat all our guests to as soon as possible! Our gardens have covered areas with heater spaced throughout the venue.
We pre-authenticate a card with a provisional payment of £5pp, however no money comes out of your bank account. This pre-authentication is in place to confirm your booking with us. The only time we would claim this deposit from you is if you failed to show on the day with no contact, or cancel as per our terms and conditions. Groups must cancel up to 3 hours prior to the booking.
Large groups must inform us 7 days ahead of the booking date. Deposits for private hire are non-refundable within 30 days of the booking.
The majority of our garden is covered with either a large parasol or individual umbrella on the table. We will allocate all bookings a covered area and we have heaters spaced throughout the venue. Please bear in mind that we are an outdoor venue and with the unpredictable British weather we recommend dressing to the season.
All bookings in our Gardens and Terrace area are placed under cover with heaters spaced throughout incase of bad weather. In the event of extreme weather conditions your booking may be cancelled. In this case, we would call in advance to let you know and reschedule the booking (for example high winds).
As the restaurant is run as a separate venue we do not allocate space for garden bookings to be moved over when bad weather hits. However, you may enquire on the day with our restaurant staff to check availability on the Barge.

Although all precautions are taken in the kitchen in preparation for service we unfortunately cannot cater to severe allergies. Please contact the team before making your booking with any requirements.
Ordering in our garden is a simple process. You will receive a postcard upon arrival to scan a QR Code or you can find these on your table, you can then place an order online for food and/or drinks, which will be delivered directly to your table.

Yes! If you’re making a booking for a special occasion you’re welcome to bring a cake along, please leave a comment in the notes section when booking. The cake must be bought with you at the time of you booking, a cake cannot be delivered prior to the booking as we do not take responsibility for this.

Dogs are most welcome when making a garden booking, we simply ask that they are well behaved, don’t sit on the benches or disrupt other guests.
