Morning Yoga Flow
at Barge East

Come join us for a rejuvenating morning yoga session at Barge East! Start your day off right with a blend of energising poses and calming stretches against the backdrop of the water.
This in-person event is perfect for all levels, whether you're a seasoned yogi or just starting out. Connect with nature and find your inner peace as you flow through the poses. Don't forget to bring your yoga mat, water bottle and wear some layers.

Discover the vibrant world of contemporary British painting with our workshop featuring Frank Bowling.

Embrace creativity as we experiment with materials and processes, crafting personalised abstract pieces in the picturesque garden/rooftop space.

All supplies provided; no prior experience necessary. Dress comfortably for outdoor painting, and don't forget your charged devices for documenting your creations.

Tote Bag Upcycling Workshop - UIIBA Club

14th of May, 18:00 - 21:00

Join us at Barge East for a special evening hosted by the UIIBA Club dedicated to embracing slower fashion. Discover the art of elevating your wardrobe and the power that up cycling holds. We'll guide you through the process of adding a personal touch to one of your forgotten or favourite tote bags.

Paint Jam

On the 27th May, Bank Holiday Monday, The Matchbox Collective will be descending on Barge East for a day time party and live paint jam to celebrate Summer in The City! There will be live painting from the Matchbox crew, along with a drink and draw, sticker swap, DJ and kids activity table.

Garden Portraits: Introduction to Watercolour & Hand Embroidery on fabric

8th June 10:30am - 1pm

During this workshop you will learn and practice the basics of hand embroidery and watercolour painting on fabric and create your own botanical embroidered illustration inspired by the lush and vibrant greenery at the Barge East gardens.

You will discover the beauty of combining watercolour and embroidery, and enjoy the benefits of these two relaxing creative techniques, which allow us to be immersed in the present moment and de-stress.

You'll get to create your very own unique painted and embroidered art piece to take home! Professional textile designer and illustrator Caroline Angiulo will guide you through the entire workshop, so no previous experience is necessary.

All necessary materials for the workshop will be provided.

Clyfford Still: An orchestra of colour

17th June 7 - 9:30pm

One of the foremost painters in the first generation Abstract Expressionists, Clyfford Still may not be as well-known as some of his contemporaries, but his influence and talent cannot be underestimated.

In this session, we'll learn about his early, naturalistic work and his shift toward abstraction in the late 30s & early 40s, before attempting to create our own Still-inspired colour field paintings.

All supplies provided; no prior experience necessary. Dress comfortably for outdoor painting, and we will be our using phones/tablets for the photographs, so please make sure you have plenty of charge, or bring a charger with you!

PRE-THEATRE MENU ABOARD THE BARGE

A short walk from ABBA Arena in London, enjoy a special pre-theatre menu at Barge East.

Enjoy two course, award winning menu, for just £30, for limited seatings before your show.

Seatings for our pre-theatre offer are between 5.30pm to 6.30pm on Thursdays and Fridays, in time for a show time of 7.45pm.

Lay All Your Love On a meal before an incredible evening out as a Dancing Queen at the ABBA Arena in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

DrinkS tables after your experience are available at Barge East as well.

Wind down for the week ahead on board our award winning restaurant for our take on a traditional Sunday roast.

Serving one of the finest Sunday menus in London, enjoy only the freshest ingredients, with produce grown onsite in our gardens.

Our roast service will be available on each of the Monday Bank Holiday in 2024.
