Thank you to everyone who visited and supported Wick Wonderland this year! Our festive market was a huge success, thanks to the incredible local businesses, artists, and traders who made it so special.

We’re thrilled to announce that Wick Wonderland will return in 2025, bringing even more riverside magic to Barge East Gardens in the lead-up to Christmas.

Located next to Barge East, Hackney Wick’s seasonal, sustainable, independent bar & restaurant, are thrilled to be collaborating with local makers, traders, produce suppliers again this festive season to bring you another Wick Wonderland

Small Fixtures

Small Fixtures are 1:6 scale miniature lights (Barbie doll sized) powered by coin cell batteries. Designed in East London by Lizzie Vickery - an artist and miniaturist, these lights are designed for adult collectors and diorama artists and for those who simply love tiny things. An ideal stocking stuffer, their intention is to bring joy and brightness to those around them.

Crochet by Amalie is a small business which sells handmade crochet items and is all made by herself, Amalie. She has been crocheting for around 3 years but started her business in early May 2023. She has been enjoying it since, making things such as accessories, cuddly animals, and bags!

Marco Antônio Afonso

Marco Antônio Afonso is a Brazilian-born illustrator and animator based in London. His creative work focuses on everyday life, with a style influenced by his background in graphic design and his childhood love for cartoons.  His illustrations use bold colours and geometric lines, merging the nostalgic with the contemporary.

Luma Mushroom

Luma Mushroom makes artisan chocolate containing functional mushrooms like Lion's mane, Turkey Tail and Reishi. As a women-lead business, Janina and Alex started Luma Mushroom because they wanted to make a product that was both delicious and has health benefits, so you don’t have to choose between taste and wellbeing. They only use organic, ethically sourced cacao and don’t add any artificial flavours to our products.

Elena is a digital illustrator and print designer. She focuses on raising awareness of climate change through her designs and uses research and current news stories as her inspiration to make designs. Elena has developed an eye-catching brand creating art prints, textile pieces, and greetings cards – all produced with sustainability at the forefront, and with each design being accompanied by an educational message.

christmas dinnerz

Hannah Dinsdale and Sam Carvosso are two artists based in East London with a passion for Christmas décor. They created Christmas Dinnerz in November 2023, with a yearning to create elegant festive decorations in the shape of favourite Christmas dinner classics. The baubles are 3D modelled and printed in PLA (a bio plastic) and produced in their studio in Purfleet, Essex.

The Clapton artist

Cath Pater-Lancucki is an artist and set designer whose work captures local scenes and the vibrant life of Hackney. Her portfolio includes images of rugby players, rowers, and swimmers, as well as notable buildings and landmarks, all of which reflect the area's unique atmosphere and energy.

Craft@25 offers a variety of craft workshops for adults, including macramé, embroidery, Jesmonite, Bargello, and many more. They also sell our handmade products at craft markets and will soon launch an online store.

Looply is a social enterprise born in Hackney Wick. They work with businesses, venues, and individuals in the local area to collect single-use unrecyclable soft plastics, like food & delivery packaging, and turn them into a range of unique, reusable items. They also run workshops to inspire the community to upcycle soft plastics into daily products at home!

The Conscious Company

The Conscious Company brand formed in 2019 to combine high quality inspirational fashion and accessories with conscious messages to make you think, and help make the world a better place. During the pandemic they donated proceeds from sales to support the NHS. They took a break after the pandemic, but now they’re happy to be back! Some items they offer are wool hats and blankets, tote bags, toiletry bags, watches, and ethical t-shirts.
